Laura is an Industrial Engineer, Universidad de los Andes; She has a Master’s Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering, Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, 2016). Most part of her professional training has been in the Universidad de los Andes. She has been a teaching assistant, and a graduate assistant in subjects such as Probability and Statistics 1, Probabilistic Models and Linear Statistical Models. Laura is currently an instructor in the Department of Industrial Engineering. She has great interest in research, continuous study, teaching and searching and approaching to new techniques and solutions to problems that society has today. Laura also finds interesting, statistics, data analysis for decision making and its application in various fields. Laura is part of the Center for Optimization and Applied Probability (COPA) and has participated in projects such as: consulting for the characterization of elements that define the quality perception of transport services, measure of cost-benefit efficiency in financial institutions from different countries around the world, by using stochastic frontier methodology and bankruptcy predictive modelling.
