She came to the vibrant city of Dubai in August 2016. She previously taught at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where She developed and taught the first online composition course. Before that She was at the University of the Virgin Islands where She opened the University’s first Writing Center and organized a Humanities Festival for Caribbean Literature. Her areas of study are Native American Literature, Women and American Literature, Children’s Literature, and technology in the composition classroom.
