Biography

Professor Kristin Lee joined AUD in January 2013. Prior to that, she worked in commercial interior design for seven years, both the USA and in the UAE. In 2008, she became a licensed Interior Designer. Working for a large healthcare design firm in Boston, MA, Kristin worked on projects ranging from large scale retirement communities to small office renovations to medical projects of varying sizes and degrees of complexity. Her Master’s thesis focused on creating an age-in-place community; healthcare design remains a specialty that is important to her. Locally, Kristin worked on residential projects for both an international design firm and a developer. She has lived in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, bouncing back and forth between the two for the past four years. Currently, she lives in Dubai with her husband and two small girls.
