Biography

She obtained her BEd degree (2009) from University of KwaZulu Natal and her Honours degree in Environmental Education (2010) from University of South Africa. She holds a MEd degree (2014) from University of Pretoria focusing on misconceptions in Science Education specific to Electric Circuits, and is current completing her PhD on the Integration of Mobile Technology in Education focusing on the identity change in teachers. She received the University of Pretoria postgraduate bursary in 2011 and the National Research Foundation (NRF) bursary in 2011, 2015 and 2016. She has also published one article and three conference proceedings. Miss Moodley is involved in learner and teacher development programmes and helps teachers and other corporate professionals to become more digitally literate.

Research Intrest

Miss Moodley mainly researches in the field of Science education and Integrated Communications Technology (ICT). She has also published in field of social change. She mainly works in the Faculty of Education focusing on the area of Technology Integration in Science Education. Miss Moodley is responsible for the training of BEd students who study Natural Science as an elective. She also teaches Integrated Communications Technology (ICT) as part of Education Studies and, to PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) students.
