Dr. Yves Joanette is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal and a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologists du Québec. From 1997 to 2009, he was Director of the Centre de recherche de l'Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (CRIUGM). From 2009 until recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec as well as Chair of the agency's Board of Directors.
