Dr. Judith Agudo did her graduate training at the University Autonomous of Barcelona. Her PhD worked focused on beta cell regeneration. She did her postdoctoral training in the Brown lab on the molecular regulation of the inflammatory response. During this time, she discovered a previously unrecognized pathway in which the miR-126/VEGFR2 axis controls the innate response to pathogen-associated nucleic acids.
