Department of Ophthalmology, University of Helsinki (Helsinki, Finland), 1999 and 2003. Previous positions: Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Universidad de Alicante, Spain (1984-1997). Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Universidad Miguel Hernández, Spain (1997-2002). Research Intrest

Research Fields: Sensory Physiology. Functional characteristics of the primary sensory neurons innervating the eye. Trophic interactions between ocular sensory neurons and their target tissues. Activity of regenerating sensory neurons after lesion involved in allodynia and neuropathic pain.
