Dr. Joseph Benitez is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Management and Systems Sciences of the School of Public Health and Information Sciences at the University of Louisville. He received a PhD in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2015, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Kentucky and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. During his time as a doctoral student, He completed an R36 Dissertation grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to investigate the long term effects of Medically Underserved Area designations on access to care.
