Biography

He has a degree in Agronomy from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1977), a master's degree in Agrarian Sciences (Plant Physiology) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1982), PhD in Plant Biology from the State University of Campinas (1991) and postdoctoral Center for Environmental Sciences / CSIC, Spain. He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He has experience in Botany, with emphasis on plant ecophysiology, also working in the area of ​​biogeography and conservation of biodiversity. He is accredited in two postgraduate programs, Plant Biology and Ecology, Conservation and Wildlife Management, both at UFMG, guiding MSc and PhD students.
