Biography

 Dr. Harris serves as a Senior Hematopathologist at Acupath Laboratories, Inc.  He is board certified in Hematopathology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.  Dr. Harris completed his Hematopathology Fellowship at New York University Medical Center and an Oncologic Surgical Pathology Fellowship Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.  He fulfilled his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to his current appointment at Acupath, Dr. Harris serves as an Attending Hematopathologist and Surgical Pathologist for Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.  Previously, Dr. Harris served as the Director of Flow Cytometry and Clinical Assistant Attending Hematopathologist and Surgical Pathologist at Bellevue Hospital Center.  His prior academic appointments include working as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at New York University.  He is licensed by the Medical Board of the State of New York. Dr. Harris has contributed to numerous studies and abstracts which have been published in Diagnostic Pathology, Journal of Clinical Apheresis, Neuroscience and many more on the topics of Tumor Associated Macrophages in Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma, Immonoglobulin Light Chain Expression in B-cells by Flow Cytometry, Retinal Detachment in Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura and Opioid Receptors.  He is member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the American Society of Hematology
