Biography

Dr. John Graneto is the Associate Dean and Professor of Pediatrics at Kansas City University of Medicine and Basic Sciences. Emergency Medicine Residency MWU Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine June 30, 1989 - June 29 in 1991, Pediatric Residency MWU Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine July 1, 1987 - June 30 in 1989 and General Internship Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital, [Ohio] closed July 1, 1986-June 30 in 1987. He has delivered his excellence through various administrative positions such as Associate Dean, Clinical Education and GME (Sept ‘15 – current), Professor, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine (MWU) (July ’14 – Aug’ 15), Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and Family Medicine (Sept ’12 -- July ‘14), Clinical Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine (July ’08 -- Sept ‘12), Clinical Assistant Professor, Emergency Medicine (July ’91 -- June ‘08), Pediatric Residency Program Director, Clinical Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Dec ’93 -- June ‘96), Clinical Instructor, Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics (Nov ’90 -- Dec ‘93), Instructor, Anatomy and Physiology Summer, 1983. He has authored several papers and has been a part of various Posters & National Academic Presentations. He has received several awards Fellow National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators NAOME 2011-2016, and 2016–2021, ACOEP Ben Field, D.O. Mentor of the Year October, 2012 and CCOM Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award September, 2014. He is associated with American Osteopathic Association, American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine AACOM, National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians ACOEP, Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society, Illinois College of Emergency Physicians (ICEP)American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Pediatrics Member # 181013 and American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP).
