Johan Wassermann is a historian and history educationist. He lectures History Education to B.Ed. and PGCE students and supervises students at Masters and PhD level. Prof Wassermann was reappointed to the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Historical Learning, Teaching and Research. The UNESCO publication Oral history education: Dialogue with the past, which contains a chapter co-authored by Prof Wassermann and entitled ‘Violence and History teaching – the personal story of a South African History teacher’, hass also been launched in sep 2016.
