Biography

Coach Clark started the Jimmie Cross Country program in 1979 and enters his 38th year as head XC coach. In his years at the University of Jamestown, Clark's track and cross country teams have won 41 conference team championships, 17 NAIA District 12 or Great Plains Region championships, and he has been named District, Region, or Conference Coach of the Year 30 times. He has also coached 115 Jimmies who have earned All-American honors, including 5 individual National Champions, during his tenure. A native of Woodworth, N.D., Clark has a degree in Civil Engineering, a profession at which he worked for four years before returning to school to enter education and coaching. He was inducted into the Jamestown College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985.
