I have a BSc degree in ecology and a MSc degree in limnology (2012). Both were awarded by the University of Vienna and I that’s also where I gained experience in the field of wastewater cleaning and algae cultivation. Before starting my PhD I extended my background in applied phycology in Austria. First when working with algae biomass used as feedstock for biogas production at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and later at the company Erber Future Business, where the establishment of an algae research laboratory was one of my main tasks.
