Biography

Jeffrey Giansiracusa is an associate professor at Swansea University in the Department of Mathematics.He recently held an EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship. He did D.Phil. in Mathematics in University of Oxford, United Kingdom (2003 – 2006) Mathematical Institute, and Merton College. He did B.S in Summa Cum Laude with Distinction in Mathematics (Comprehensive) in University of Washington, Seattle, Washington USA 1999 – 2003.

Research Intrest

Tropical geometry, Topology and homotopy theory, Algebraic geometry, Moduli spaces, Topological quantum field theory, Operads, Mapping class groups and diffeomorphism groups
