Originally from Seattle, Jane has lived in Auckland for more than 20 years. She is a Laidlaw graduate and shares her week between lecturing at Laidlaw and counselling at CARE Waitakere Trust in Auckland. Jane has over ten years’ experience counselling men, women, children, and families but has recently focused on adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Her academic attention is on MindBody Healthcare and Jane is currently completing the last leg of her Master’s Degree in Health Science. Jane has been lecturing at Laidlaw College since 2012 where she teaches students how to counsel children and teenagers, and how to consider mental health from a whole person approach. Jane has three grandchildren, two adult children, and a retired guide dog who often helps her with counselling. EN
