Biography

Prof Jan Nieuwenhuis has been involved with educational research since 1979 and has conducted more than 40 research projects as researcher and project leader. He participated in collaborative research with the University of Calgary for the Canada South Africa Teachers Development programme in 2005 and was consultant to the UNESCO Expert Consultative Group on the Definition of Basic Education (2008). He has published more than 40 technical research reports, two academic books, contributed eight chapters to academic books, published twelve articles in academic journals as author or co-author and has delivered numerous papers at national and international conferences. He also recieved EASA Medal as Senior Researcher Extraordinaire (2010).

Research Intrest

His research area are Values education, Human rights and social justice in education, Human resource management & Qualitative research methodology and his field of expertise is Education management, Philosophy of Education & Research methodology.
