He holds a PhD in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (with an Extraordinary Prize), Professor of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and deputy director of the Foundation for the Study of Applied Economics (FEDEA). He is a member of the Committee of Experts on the development of the Pension Sustainability Factor 2013 and the Forum of Experts of the Aviva Institute. He has also worked in the Economic Office of the President of the Government as Director General of Economic Policy (2008-2010) and as an External Consultant of the World Bank. He has done research and teaching at the Univesitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​the European University Institute in Florence, the Università Bocconi in Milan and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has participated in numerous research projects, In seminars and conferences. He has published scientific articles in international academic journals such as Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the Europeran Economic Association, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Theory, the Economic Journal and Review of Economic Dynamics.
