Dr Iveth J. González is head of malaria at the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND). She has more than 15 years of experience in basic and clinical research applied to tropical diseases, mainly malaria, leishmaniasis, and Chagas disease. she earned a Medical degree from the Universidad del Valle, Colombia and a Doctor of Philosophy in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. She conducted several clinical trials in endemic areas, evaluating diagnostic tools for malaria and leishmaniasis and evaluating the efficacy of antimalarial drugs
