Biography

Dr. Erhun Kundakcioglu received his B.S. (2002) from Bilkent University and M.S. (2004) from Sabanci University both in Industrial Engineering, and Ph.D. (2009) from University of Florida in Industrial and Systems Engineering with minor in Computer and Information Science and Engineering. From September 2009 to August 2013, he was an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering in Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. Dr. Kundakcioglu joined the Department of Industrial Engineering at Ozyegin University in September 2013. Dr. Kundakcioglu's research interests are in combinatorial optimization and decision making under uncertainty. He is particularly interested in large-scale optimization and data mining applications in healthcare analytics and sustainable energy systems. Dr. Kundakcioglu serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Global Optimization, Journal of Biomedical Data Mining, and Optimization Letters. Having been involved in numerous R&D consulting projects in Turkey and abroad, Dr. Kundakcioglu is the founder of DATArt R&D Management Consulting and Software Development.
