– nonlinear optical response of organic materials – growth and characterization of organic thin films (biological molecules, polymers, dyes) on solid substrates – switchable surface layers for liquid crystal alignment – one-dimensional aggregation in molecular solutions – lyotropic liquid crystal polymorphism of biological molecules – polymer-liquid crystal composite materials for electrooptic and photonic applications
