Biography

Inge Pieterse [BSc Quantity Surveying, MSc Quantity Surveying (UP), PrQS, MRICS] has worked in private practice for more than 20 years, where she gained a wealth of practical quantity surveying experience through her involvement in several unique and high-profile projects. She specialises in insurance aspects and expert witnessing in contractual disputes. In January 2011, she returned to UP as a senior lecturer. She served two four-year terms on the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) and one four-year term on the Council for the Built,Environment (CBE) and various subcommittees of both councils. She still serves on SACQSP’s and Identification of Work subcommittee.

Research Intrest

Research focus area are Costing Models and Whole Life Costing and Project / Construction Procurement.
