Budget: R400 000 in 2010, Dean’s award for BEd re-curriculation, Presented by Prof Irma Eloff in 2010, One of the Excellent Teachers in the Faculty of Education in 2010, Teaching Innovation award, EDUVATE, UP in 2010 and Teaching Innovation award, EDUVATE, UP in 2006.
Her area of research are Democratic Citizenship Education, empowerment of the young child: dissemination of their voice, literacy teaching and learning, assessment in the Foundation Phase.
