Biography

Graduated in Pharmacy (1985) and Veterinary Medicine (2013) by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Master in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology) by the same University (1988) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Pharmacology) Paulo - Ribeirão Preto (1993). He is currently Professor of the Department of Pharmacology at UFMG. His research focuses on the study of peripheral pain and analgesia mechanisms, with emphasis on the participation of opioids, cannabinoids and ion channels.
