Dr. (Mrs) Ebere Ibe hails from Akanu in Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State, Nigeria. She had her Primary Education at Ugwuafia Primary School where she obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 1979. She proceeded to Akanu Ohafia Secondary School where she obtained the West African School Certificate in 1984. She got married to her husband in December, 1984, the same year she bagged her School Certificate and proceeded to Nsukka. She got enrolled in St Cyprian’s Teacher Training College, Nsukka in 1985 and got the Teacher Grade 2 (TC 2 Cert.) Certificate in1987. In 1990, she gained admission in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to read Biology/Education. Ebere obtained the B.Sc degree in EDU/BIO in 1995 and finished the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1997. She got her Masters (MED) and  Ph.D Degrees in Science Education in 2004 and 2013, all in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Ebere Ibe was a biology teacher in St. Teresa’s College Nsukka from where she was employed as an Assistant Lecturer, Department of Science Education, in August 2nd, 2006.
