Biography

Hui-Hsien Chou is working as an Associate Professor in Lowa State University. He has completed his PhD in computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1996. His research interests on the computational design and prediction of biological phenomena. He has developed bioinformatics software that facilitates genome assembly, microarray design, RNA interference applications, synthetic biology and biological data analysis. To validate the design and prediction results of his software, He also conduct biological experiments on plants and animals. Most of his work fall within the computer aided biological research branch, where computer software plays an essential role in the design, planning and prediction before an actual biological experiments is carried out and the data collection, conversion and analysis after the biological experiment is completed.

Research Intrest
