Biography

Prof. Hsin-Jang Shieh works in Dept. of Electr. Eng., Nat. Dong Hwa Univ., Hualien, Taiwan. Hsin-Jang Shieh (M'02) received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from National Central University, Chung-Li, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1992 and 1997, respectively.From 1997 to 2002, he was with the Mechanical Industry Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Chu-Tung, Taiwan, as a researcher of MEMS division. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan. His research interests are in the fields of micro- and nano-positioning systems control, power electronics, and control theory applications.
