Biography

Dr Hossam Mohamed Elhamy holds a PhD in Mass Communication (2009); a Master of Mass Communication (2004); and a Bachelor of Mass Communication (1998), all from the Journalism Department, Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, Egypt. Dr Hosam joined Ahlia University in September 2014 as an assistant professor in the Department of Mass Communication & Public Relations of the Faculty of Arts, Science & Education. Previously he had worked at the Modern University for Technology & Information; at Ain Shams University; and at Akhbar Elyoum Academy in Egypt.

Research Intrest

Dr Hossam’s research interests include media discourse, narrative analysis, political communication of social movements, Methodology and philosophy of science in humanities. His research experience includes: participation in Media and Communication Strategy planning for the Egyptian Cabinet member and coordinator in several research projects in political communication and new media in-depth experience in strategic planning for communication policies and strategies achieving and publish some studies in mass communication and journalism collecting and analyzing research data using statistical softwares (SPSS) leading research teams and projects, participating in mass communication conferences, seminars & workshops planning and implementing research and studies for mass media organizations
