His is interested in Speech/Audio processing for multimedia communications - Low-bit-rate speech coding including CELP, harmonic, and sinusoidal modeling of speech -Bandwidth and quality enhancement of narrow-band speech to wideband speech - Speech analysis and parameter quantization for robust transmission - Wireless and distributed speech recognition in wireless communications o Large vocabulary continuous speech recognition - Noise-robust feature extraction for speech recognition - Acoustic feature and model compensation for robust speech recognition - Continuous model adaptation in nonstationary environments
