Research Intrest

Obesity,Diabetes, Stress Glucocorticoids, Brown Fat, Thermogenesis. My research interests centre on understanding the processes that regulate the production of heat from brown adipose tissue and how these can be harnessed for the generation of anti-obesity therapeutics. I am more specifically interested in the conversion of white adipose to brown adipose tissue and its role in non-shivering thermogenesis in natural animal populations and the role that glucocorticoids play in these processes.
