I am an assistant professor of legal writing, research and advocacy in the Faculty of Law and Public Policy. Additionally, I coach the Moot Court team. I have 11 years practical dispute resolution experience, having previously worked as: a litigation lawyer in Scotland; a construction disputes lawyer in Qatar, advising clients on development projects and local court procedures; and negotiator in insurance disputes. I am a qualified solicitor and Notary Public; I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; and I have an LLM (with distinction) in Construction Law and Arbitration. My masters dissertation was a comparative study of Qatar and English construction law. Previously, I taught legal writing, research and advocacy at Qatar University.
