Biography

He started his career from Hoek Wiehahn & Cross as Trainee Accountant (from January 1966 to December 1969). He then continued as Audit Manager (from January 1970 to May 1970). He was then appointed by Peat Marwick & Mitchel (The Hague, The Netherlands) as Audit Manager (from June 1970 to December 1970). He joined University of Pretoria as Lecturer (from January 1971 to December 1971) which was then promoted to Senior Lecturer (from January 1972 to April 1982). He worked as Professor (from May 1982 to December 1986) and as Director of School of Accountancy (from January 1987 to December 2001). Currently he is the Head of Department of Auditing since January 2002.

Research Intrest

His area of research are accounting, taxation, Internal Auditing and Financial management.
