The Iraklis Mafridis was born in Athens. She studied Sociology at Queen's University of Canada (BA Hon.) And completed postgraduate studies in Social and Political Theory (MA, Ph.D.) at the University of Sussex in England. He has taught at the Universities of Crete, Athens, Patras, Thessaly and Aegean and now he is Associate Professor at the Department of Social Policy of the Panteion University. His publications and his scientific and research interests are in the field of epistemology and methodology of social sciences, contemporary social theory, social philosophy, and the sociology of knowledge and the theory of ideology.
