Prof. Toshikhane is a Dean Faculty of Ayurveda, Parul University. Formerly, he has worked as a Professorial Chair in Ayurveda at Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. During this period he has designed certificate course in Ayurveda for the Faculty of Medical Sciences. He has also delivered guest lectures, has been involved in public health check up camps at Caribbean. Prior to this, he was Head of the Department of Sangyaharana (Anaesthesiology in Indian medicine) at KLE University Shri B M Kankanwadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Shahapur Belgaum, Karnataka, India. He did his graduation in Ayurveda from Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Hubbali, Karnataka, India which is one of the renowned and oldest colleges in Ayurveda. He has completed his Post Graduation in Shalyatantra from S.D.M. College of Ayurveda, Hassan affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore. His Ph.D. is from Tilak Maharastra University, Pune, India. He is experienced in both Ayurveda and allopathic system of medicine practices. His working experience is very vast and it includes hands on working experience in Causality unit of Shivakrupa Hospital,Hubli.

Dr. Toshikhane's research focuses on Sushruta's technique in the management of Avranakandha Bhagna(Simple Fracture).
