Biography

Dr. Heinrich Bohlmann holds a PhD in Economics from the Centre of Policy Studies in Melbourne, Australia. He is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Pretoria where he specialises in economic policy research using computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling methods. Dr. Bohlmann has also been contracted as an economic modelling consultant on various research and training projects to clients such as the World Bank, South Africa’s National Treasury, Gauteng Provincial Government, Eskom and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research via the University’s Department of Research and Innovation Support (DRIS) and Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd. Dr. Bohlmann’s academic and contract work has mainly focussed on macroeconomic planning, energy and environmental policy, and labour market topics.

Research Intrest

His main research area are Computable General Equilibrium Modelling, Development Economics and Labour Economics.
