Hanna Yemane is a Public Health expert and head of the short term training coordination office at the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Hanna completed undergraduate studies in July 2010; with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Health from the Addis Ababa University. During her studies she has worked as an intern in various dental health clinics, acquiring clinical skills and practical knowledge of the health care delivery systems. After graduating in September 2010, she enrolled in a two-year Public Health Master’s program. Additionally, she has had a number of career enhancing short-term trainings on “GIS”, “Writing and Publishing Public Health Research”, and “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV/AIDS” to name a few. Hanna has worked in partnership with national and international colleagues in different research projects. She has contributed in the preparation of the “Consolidated Guidelines on the use of Antiretroviral Drugs for Treating and Preventing HIV Infection” 2013 while working as an Intern at the HIV/AIDS department at WHO Headquarters in Geneva. Currently, she is also serving as a technical working group member in the “National Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health strategy” development. As part of her current work she is involved in research, teaching, student advising and coordinating short term trainings. Over the years she has coordinated and co-facilitated a series of regional workshops on monitor and evaluation of different programs as well as data analysis and interpretation workshops.
