Dr. Hae Choi is Professor of CIS in the College of Business Administration and Supporting Director of G-LIBER at SSU. He has been teaching at SSU for 15 years since August 2000. Before that he taught for 8 years at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. He has published numerous refereed articles in the journals and presented many papers in the national and international conferences such as Decision Science Institutes (DSI), Association for Information Systems (AIS), International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS), etc. As a Supporting Director of Global Logistics and International Business Education Research Center at SSU, he received grants of Title III from U.S. Department of Education in 2011 and 2012. In addition, as a principal or co-principal investigator, he received four grants of Title III from SSU in 2001 and 2002. He was chosen for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 2004-2005. He also served as a reviewer for the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Program of U.S. Department of Education. He created Student Chapter of Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP) at SSU in 2001 and still serves as an adviser for it.
Primary fields of research are Cross-cultural Studies in Information Systems (IS), IS Curriculum, and big data analytics or business analytics.
