Biography

Dr. Wang joined the College of Business Administration faculty in 2012. She received her Ph.D. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Syracuse University. She teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Prior to her academic career in finance, she worked in different fields of applied mathematics, mostly statistics and numerical modeling. Her primary research interests lie in the area of quantitative financial economics with an emphasis on asset pricing and international finance. She is currently engaged in research relating to foreign exchange rate behavior and personal finance. Her work has been published in SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, Journal of Economics and Finance, Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting and Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies, among others. Dr. Wang is also a featured expert on wallethub, one of the leading outlets covering the personal finance industry. She has recently provided expert opinion and advice in two of their reports: 2017 ‘s best credit cards for college students and stocks matter most to hedge fund.
