Dr. Gürşans GÜVEN IŞIN received her B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in 2007, her M.Sc. degree in Istanbul Technical University Construction Management program in 2010, and she obtained her Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University in 2016. Dr. Gürşans GÜVEN IŞIN worked as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University, Civil Engineering Department in between 2010-2016. In her thesis, she developed an approach for fusing data obtained from sensors that are readily available or deployed later at site, for the purpose of construction activity progress monitoring. Her main research areas include utilization of information technologies in construction, Building Information Modeling, 4D construction modeling and planning, utilization of advanced tracking and data storage technologies in construction, data fusion and sensing.
