1977-1982 Studied Process Engineering, Ruhr University Bochum. 1982 Graduated as “Diplom-Ingenieur”, Ruhr University Bochum. 1982-1984 Research associate, Department of Chemical Engineering, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. 1984-1987 Research associate, Institute of Thermodynamics, Ruhr University Bochum. 1987 Awarded doctorate (Dr.-Ing.), Ruhr University Bochum in cooperation with Texas A&M University. 1987-1994 Specialist area manager for Drying Technology, Bayer AG Leverkusen. 1995-2000 Technical operations manager of a fine chemicals production plant, Bayer AG Leverkusen. 2000-2003 Head of Competence Center Product Design, Bayer AG Leverkusen. Since 2003 Professor of Thermal Process Engineering at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
