Biography

George Konstantinidis received his first degree from the Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering at UCL in 2000. He then continued his studies in America at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he received Masters ( MSc) and his doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of Constructions and Materials. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at MIT's Department of Materials Science and Engineering where he studied the mechanical deformation and the performance of the surfaces / surfaces of polymeric amorphous materials by nanoprojection.

Research Intrest

His current research focuses on Solid State Mechanics (eg ceramics, polymers, nanoules), with particular emphasis on (1) chemomechanics and (2) nano / micro- and poro-engineering of natural (clay, bones , tissues.
