Professor Gabriel Basaluzzo is a Nuclear Engineer, graduated from the Balseiro Institute (Argentina), Magister in Economics, graduated from the University of San Andrés (Argentina), and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (United States).He is director of the Specialization and Master of Finance at the University of San Andrés since 2007, and since 2009 he is also director of the Major in Finance program at UdeSA. Since 2007, he has worked as a full-time professor in the Business Administration Department of the University of San Andrés.His research interests focus on entrepreneurship, industrial organization, financial risk management, and numerical methods applied to finance and economics.Prior to joining San Andrés, he has been a research professor at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico and the University of Texas at Austin. He has also been invited to teach courses at other institutions, such as the University of Montevideo, the ORT University of Uruguay, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and the Dom Cabral Foundation.
