Biography

Sreejith Govindan is working as Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Melaka Manipal Medical College (Manipal Campus) a constituent institute of Manipal University. He has completed his Ph. D. in Microbiology from Manipal University during the year 2013. He also holds a post graduate diploma in epidemiology from Indian institute of public health, New Delhi. He has completed two government funded research projects in the recent past and also attended few national and international conferences in microbiology and medical education in the past years and also published articles in various scientific journals. He has undergone training in the fields of biostatistics, bioinformatics, molecular biology techniques etc. His areas of interest in research are epidemiology of infectious diseases, drug resistant bacterial pathogens and communication of communicable diseases.
