Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from PUC Minas (1998-2002), a Master's degree (2004-2006) and a PhD in Plant Biology from UFMG (2008-2011), with a sandwich training at the Museum of Natural Sciences, Madrid (2010-2011). He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Botany of UFMG, where he is deputy chief. He is editor of Plant Ecology at Acta Botanica Brasilica and is part of Flora editorial staff. He was the president of the 5th edition of the Seed Ecology Meeting, held in August 2016. He is an expert in the UFMG Plant Biology and Ecology, Conservation and Wildlife Management programs. He has experience in Botany and Plant Ecology, with emphasis on Evolutionary Ecophysiology.

Research Intrest

1) ecology and seed evolution, 2) comparative vegetal ecophysiology, 3) animal-plant interaction and 4) ecology conservation of vegetation associated with rocky outcrops.
