Biography

Dr. Fang graduated from East China University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering, from China-Europe International Business School with a MBA, from University of Oklahoma with Master of Science in MIS, and from the Louisiana State University with PhD in Accounting. Before joining Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dr. Fang taught undergraduate and graduate accounting classes at the University of South Dakota. Before pursuing an academic career Dr. Fang took several professional managerial positions such as Production Planning and Control Manager at ESQUEL. Dr. Fang’s current research interests focus on real effects of stock markets, capital market-based accounting research, corporate governance, and executive compensation. Dr. Fang has presented several of his working papers at the Academy of Management 2008 Annual Conference, and American Accounting Association 20012 / 13 Annual meetings, and published his work at International Journal of Accounting and Information Management and Journal of Operations Management.
