She is currently in University of Pretoria, Division of Tourism Management as Associate Professor. She received Research Output Award for 2005 in the category lecturer of the School of Public Management & Administration in the Faculty of Economic & Management Sciences, University of Pretoria and Sabinet Prize for the Best Research Article for 1990.
