David Nwoye Ezeh, a Professor of Science Education of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka was born in Obollo Eke in Udenu LGA of Enugu State on June 6, 1954. He had his primary and secondary education in Central School and Obollo High school Obollo Eke respectively. He also attended the University of Lagos where he obtained NCE (Biology/Chemistry) and B.Sc. (Chemistry Education) in first Class honours. He later attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a M.Ed. Measurement and Evaluation and, Ph.D. Science Education He is a professional chemistry and integrated Science Educator with strong background in Measurement and Evaluation. Being highly grounded in Scientific Research Methods he has high flair and competence for assessment of instructional methods and materials for enhancement of teaching and evaluation of learning outcomes in chemistry, integrated science and other science related disciplines. He teaches Research Methods, Statistics and Computer Usage among other courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Department of Science Education and the Institute of Development studies respectively at Nsukka and Enugu campuses of the University of Nigeria respectively. The exploration of strategies, using methods and other relevant instructional materials, including ICT, to ensure gender parity in access, achievement, and general disposition of studies have occupied a greater part of his over 20years of research activities. He also engages in multi-disciplinary applied research activities with colleagues in other disciplines such as Adult Education (e.g. in assessment of literacy levels), Agricultural Extension etc.David Ezeh was the Director of the Institute of Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka between 2004 and 2009 and a visiting Professor of the National Mathematical Centre (NMC), Abuja from 2009 to 2011. He had served as the Coordinator; sub-department of Science Education between 2004 and 2006 and also as Head, Department of Science between 2013 and 2015.He has served as a member and chairman of several university of Nigerian senate, faculty and departmental committees. At various times he had served as a member of NUC and NCCE as programme accreditation teams well as external examiner for postgraduate degrees in several universities.He has been serving as a Research Consultant for such national bodies as African Development Solutions International (ADSI) and Federal Ministry of Education and, also for such international agencies; as International Development Research Centre (IDRC), African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS) network, African Academy of Science (AAS), and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) among others.
