Biography

Uchenna Eze received his master’s and doctorate degrees in educational psychology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1991 and 1999 respectively. He is currently a professor of educational psychology in the Department of Educational Foundations, University of Nigeria and a senior principal research fellow in the Institute of Education of the same University on parallel appointment. As an active researcher, he has contributed significantly to the scientific psychological literature. He has co-authored three books in educational psychology and published 43 well researched articles in reputable national and international journals. His major research focus is on metacognitive learning strategies for developing self regulated learners. He has been involved in a number of successful competitive research proposal writing and has conducted a number of funded researches and facilitated UNICEF sponsored capacity building workshops for teachers. He coordinated the Institute of Education and DFID Staff Development programme for teachers in Enugu state and has served as resource person in many capacity building workshops for teachers in Nigeria. He is currently driving for UNICEF-Nigeria a teacher professional development programme for colleges of education lecturers based on differentiated instruction model.
