Biography

Mr. Emmanuel Abokyi is an Agricultural Economist (MPhil UG, B.Sc. KNUST) and a PhD candidate with hands on experience in results based management and reporting. His working experience spans through research, banking, teaching and consulting. Mr. Abokyi has practical experience in agricultural finance and marketing as well as credit analysis. He developed and trained several farmer - based organizations (FBOs) in the three northern regions of Ghana. At GIMPA Consultancy Services, he is involved in E conomic Research and Analysis, Project Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects, Gender Assessment, Baseline Survey etc. He has been engaged in the designing, planning and conducting of surveys for collecting both quantitative and qua litative data at the household level. He has developed several survey instruments for many projects. Mr. Abokyi has also been lecturing Business Research Methods at the GIMPA Business School. Mr. Abokyi is a key consultant of the team implementing the Foo d Security and Environmental Facility Project (FSEF) of the Ministry of local Government and Rural Development of Ghana being funded by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). He was a key member of a team of consultants that was hired by Interna tional Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI - USA) to conduct evaluation of four special initiatives for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana. The four initiatives were: National Fertilizer Subsidy Program, Block Stabilization of Output prices via the establishment and operation of the National Food, Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) Program. He has an excellent practical knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, SPSS, STATA and E - View econometric softwares for quantitative and qualitative data analysis. He has hands on experience in econometric modeling.
