Elliot Mufson, PhD, is the director of the Alzheimer’s disease research laboratory at Barrow Neurological Institute.Dr. Mufson’s expertise includes Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative disease. He is a member of the Society of Neuroscience, American Association of Anatomists, International Brain Research Organization and the International Alzheimer’s Association. Dr. Mufson received his doctorate from Downstate Medical Center, New York, in biological psychology and he was a research fellow in neurology at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston.
